How to Fill in Privacy Policy Information During the Apple App Submission Process

In App Store Connect, you can provide the following for iOS and macOS apps:

  • Privacy Policy URL
  • User Privacy Choices URL

If the app includes an Apple tvOS version, you’ll also need to provide Privacy Policy text.

Note: All apps must provide a Privacy Policy, but the User Privacy Choices URL is optional.

Steps to Fill In

  1. Log in to App Store Connect, go to My Apps, and select the app you want to edit.
    By default, the page will display the App Store tab.

  2. In the left sidebar, select App Privacy.

  3. Click the Edit button next to Privacy Policy.

  4. Enter the Privacy Policy URL. Optionally, you may also provide the User Privacy Choices URL.

    • If your app has an Apple tvOS version, fill in the Privacy Policy text under Apple TV Privacy Policy.
    • Typically, the URL should point to your app’s official website, and the copyright information should reference your software license.

  5. Click Save.

Tip: Any changes to the Privacy Policy URL will be published along with the next version of your app.
