How to Register an Apple Developer Account

Background

  • Before 2020: You could generate certificates immediately after registering an Apple Developer account.
  • After 2020: You must register through the Apple Developer App and pay the developer fee to create iOS certificates.

Registration Process

1. Prepare an Email

  • Use any email (e.g., 126, 163, QQ email)
  • Apply and remember the account and password

  • Check the agreement and submit your application

6. Download and Log in to Apple Developer App

  • Download Apple Developer on your iPhone / iPad
  • Log in with the newly registered Apple ID

  • Recommended: Individual

  • Submit required information: name, ID number, address, ID photo, etc.

  • Wait for identity verification after submission
  • Once verified, you’ll see a confirmation screen and registration is successful ✅
